Quick report from Barbados

Our first day has been great! The flights were super and thankfully less crowded on the longer flight from Miami to Barbados.
The whole operation on the Logos Hope is amazing, borderline overwhelming. We arrived and had an “interesting” ride from the airport (during rush hour) to the ship. Had lots of help from crew in getting our suitcases on board. Got somewhat settled then met for an orientation meeting.

We have been assigned three Vision Team coordinators and they are great! Dave, Larry, Chuck, and Sue have seen a lot of their friends from OM. The whole operation here is extremely professional and very well organized.

After our orientation meeting, we had a short break and ate supper. The food and fellowship was super. After some visiting, we were given a tour of the whole ship... unbelievable! We went from stem to stern, “on top” (Deck 9), and from the “fun deck” for the children of the families serving on board and their school rooms to the bridge!

To wrap up the day, we had time to “debrief”, share, and pray. We praise God for a great day and are excited about what He has in store for us tomorrow. The rest of the team has turned in as we have a busy day planned tomorrow. I’ll sign off for now but look forward to giving you another report tomorrow.

p.s. I broke a tooth at supper tonight but don’t have any pain. I’ll just need to be careful for the week and stick to soft foods so no more of the tooth or filling is damaged.
