1. Mornings will be receiving evangelism training and working some practical job onboard the ship. A couple of women are sewing needed items for the ship, 3 of us men are working in the engine room (dirty, hot, noisy).
We pray our contributions will free the staff to do important jobs and contribute to the over all presentation and effectiveness of the ship ministry. Pray for safety in our work.
2. Afternoons we'll be ministering on Deck 4 "The Life Experience Deck" -- visitors will see a history of the ship ministry, purchase educational and Christian books on the largest floating book store on the planet, and drink coffee with crew members (and us).
Pray we have profitable and Spirit led conversations with guests who come to purchase books and tour the ship. Many will not know the Lord, others will be backslidden and still others will have something to impart to us.
3. Evenings and some afternoons will be ministering off the ship -- either immediately on shore to the crowds waiting to get on the ship or in other ministries that are available to churches, schools, prisons, etc. We don't know what those are and some opportunities will be last minute.
Pray we effectively share the story of Christ, our testimonies, and can bring people the next step in their relationship with God.
Pray for strength and perseverance in the midst of the heat and humidity.
4. Sunday -- We will almost certainly have a church meeting to be part of.
Pray we effectively communicate and give glory to God. All of us are praying for opportunities to get into homes of local people, Christian and non Christian.
5. Meal times -- All meals will be eaten with the crew members in the dining room.
Pray for these times to be encouragement and challenge to ship crew. I have some appointments already to meet with people regarding future direction, discouragement and family and personal matters needing the Lord's guidance.
6. Post Barbados -- what next? What does God want to do with this trip in our lives?
Pray for our hearts to understand and act upon what God wants.
